History
The Cadillac Motor Company has a great history. Did you know that Cadillac was the first production automobile to use, amongst others, a distributor, power steering, and a synchromesh transmission ? This page will highlight a couple of Cadillac facts. To my knowledge they are accurate and correct. However, as nobody is perfect, some errors or omissions may have slipped into the texts. If that is the case, please feel free to point me to those errors and I will be happy to correct them.
Trivia
Victor Brincat of Keswick, Ontario (Canada) has painstakingly restored a 1959 Cadillac. His story is both extremely interesting, entertaining and witty. It will remind many restorers of the problems one encounters when trying to revive an old car. It is a must read for all Cadillac enthousiasts. I have made it available in HTML format and as an MS Word Document (97 kb). The HTML document contains thumbnails to several pictures giving an idea of what Vic has accomplished. Enjoy the reading ! This article was originally printed in the Canadian bi-monthly magazine "Old Autos".
